"Where there is fear, there is no love… and there certainly isn’t any faith. I recognized this as some of the 'the writing on my walls' regarding lack of abundance."

by Kelly Roughton
www.InnerShining.com
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

This one was a surprise issue. My partner has a huge plastic bottle into which he has been putting coins for years. It’s about half full. I don’t know how much is in there now, it hasn’t ever been counted yet. I noticed that when we moved in together I took a while before I began adding my “extra coins” to the pot. I obviously had reservations about “his” and “mine.” I logically realize this is totally silly because if I asked him for anything, he’d hand it over in a heart-beat if I needed it. I noticed this interesting emotional programming I have regarding trust in relationships.

Recently, my wallet was heavy with too much small change and I wanted to get rid of the excess. I had noticed my partner putting loonies ($1 Canadian coins with a loon on them) and twoonies ($2 Canadian coins) into the pot … as if he didn’t need them to pay for things. I compared my own habit of putting in pennies and nickels.

I’d been listening to a Mike Dooley audio program lately and he talks about acts of faith as a way to tell the universe that you’re ready for something that you don’t presently have. As I put my money into the jar this time, I decided to stretch myself as an act of faith: acting AS IF I don’t need that bit of change in my wallet to pay for things, telling my subconscious that I have more than enough elsewhere – which IS actually the truth. Apparently, however, I have an emotional part of me that DOESN’T believe that. My act of faith would be that I’d throw in my dimes as well. Sounds easy enough…

Well, I would never have imagined there could be so much resistance! I threw all my dimes in, maybe 7 to 10 of them, and I forced myself to throw in a quarter as well. I had three others that I did NOT put in.

Recognizing “Writing on My Walls”

As I sat down after doing that I immediately became aware of an emotion and a bodily sensation telling me that all was not fine. I could feel such sadness welling up and my body was physically tight with fear. Where there is fear, there is no love… and there certainly isn’t any faith. I recognized this as some of the “the writing on my walls” regarding lack of abundance.

Contrary to what I generally do with clients, I didn’t bother with any Setup phrases. Nor did I take the time to check the level of intensity. I did not believe that I had any Psychological Reversal on this issue so I simply began tapping the 8 shortcut points that I most often use: EB, SE, UE, UN, CH, CB, UA and top of head.

Phrases: This sadness about giving my money away. This sadness about putting my money in the common pot. This tightness in my body about putting my dimes in the pot. Let’s not think about the quarters. A whole quarter!

Feel like it’s no longer mine. Feel like it’s lost to me now and I might need it. What if I need it? I can’t get it back. It feels so sad. Can’t ask for it back.

I don’t know how much is mine. What is my rightful part? I might need it and I won’t have it. Such sadness, such fear, needing the money and not being able to get it back. I had it once but I gave it away. I might need it. Such fear. This sadness.

I stopped when I experienced no more distress and “Aaaaahhh, that felt better!” No more fear, no more sadness, no more tightness. It felt like a 0 out of 10. I decided to test my work by going back and throwing in the other three quarters!! I stood and watched, emotionless, as they fell into the bottle. Okay, I haven’t tried throwing the loonies or twoonies in yet but I know that some day I will and, for the moment, I am celebrating my success at bringing about quite a large shift in perspective about small change and feeling that much lighter and more enlightened.

How many little things like that do we deal with every single day of our lives? They seem so trivial yet how do they limit us? We are often not even consciously aware of them, these seemingly inconsequential thoughts and beliefs, and yet they are stressors running constantly in the background and they have an impact on our emotional and possibly even our physical well-being. What a relief and a change in our lives when we are able to remove them using EFT or any other modality for that matter. Again, all I can say is “Aaaahhhhhh!”

Tap on even the small things!

Follow Up

Follow up about 2 months later: I have since tested the work by throwing in more change which included dimes AND quarters. There was no resistance. Next step: (to paraphrase Dorothy and the gang) “Loonies and Twoonies and Bills! Oh my!”

"In an economic climate where most people are vibrating impatience and the energy of being rushed, your vibration of even-tempered care will stand out in almost any field."

By Paul Zelizer
www.PaulZelizer.com
Santa Fe, NM US

Last night I returned home from a 10 day retreat. Today, I felt myself working in a more relaxed and aligned way than I had in some time. For instance, I took 20 minutes to compose a heartfelt email answering a potential new client’s questions. That’s longer than usual for me. As I sent it off, I felt good about taking this step to create meaningful connection.

After 10 days away from my usual fast paced work life, I was able to see that I sometimes miss important opportunities because of feeling a bit rushed.

Is Feeling rushed the New Normal?

In our constantly connected world – with email, texting, social media and more – it’s easy to get into a chronic state of feeling like there’s not enough time. Most of my clients come to me with this complaint. Honestly, before my retreat, I was slipping back into this mindset myself.

For generations, spiritual teachers have taught that we can feel spacious around time. And, one of the keys to shifting into this is through cultivating the attitude of patience.

But there’s just not enough time…

Patience: quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care. – Dictionary.com

Though many people want to feel spacious around time, it can feel tricky in our modern world. I mean who has time for even-tempered care? I often hear people say things like:

1. I have WAY too much to do
2. I’m afraid I won’t get it all done
3. Everyone around me is impatient
4. I have too many responsibilities
5. It won’t do any good

As long as you are going through life feeling impatient and like time is scarce, the Law of Attraction will keep bringing more opportunities to feel rushed and impatient. Remember, the shift that you are longing for starts on the inside.

Here are some EFT setup phrases you can use to start creating more patience and time abundance in your life.

Even though this rushed feeling has become normal for me, I’m willing to
acknowledge the impact it’s having on my life.
Even though I don’t know how to stop feeling so rushed and impatient, I
choose to accept the situation I’m in anyway.
Even though I’m afraid I’m too busy to make any real change, I’m willing to
be a bit kinder with myself.

Once you start to open more to the positive impact that patience can have on your success, you can use your EFT for abundance skills to help you create more of this feeling. Use phrases like:

Even though in the past I used to think it was impossible to have more patience
in my busy life, I’m choosing to be more open to that possibility now.
Even though I used to think that time spaciousness was very difficult for me,
I give myself permission to have more of it now.
Even though I got used to these feelings of rushed and impatient in the past,
I choosing to experiment with this feeling of more abundance.

In an economic climate where most people are vibrating impatience and the energy of being rushed, your vibration of even-tempered care will stand out in almost any field. I invite you to experiment with this feeling of time abundance and to notice the effect it has on your financial abundance as well.

Warmly,
Paul

www.eftpraxis.com
Washington, DC, USA

It was time. It seemed as if all the signs were pointing to opening up a full-time EFT practice. I was nervous and excited all at once. I opened. Clients began to come. And then the global crash happened, just weeks after I had decided that this was going to be my path. How could this work? And then my client list doubled. And doubled again. Even though the economy tanked, and I’m located in one of the most conservative areas in the country, in terms of adjunctive or complimentary medicine and therapies, the practice began to thrive, and continues to do so. I think it is because of a number of things, but primarily because of what could be called co-creative marketing – I also think of it as mystical marketing, or contemplative marketing. Regardless of the label, it works.

First, it is important for me to know that the basics are in place—my website is up and running, beautifully. I feel wonderful whenever I hand my business card to anyone because it is lovely, and it directs them to a site I feel absolutely wonderful about. I post flyers locally, and have an ongoing Google ad running. I am listed in practitioner’s listings. But we all, basically, do those things, yes? What gets us to the next level, that of attracting a solid, steady stream of clients we love and who love us?

There are probably as many approaches and ideas as there are practitioners, but these are the steps I take, over and over, which have continued to provide a wonderful, steady, stream of gifted clients.

Ideal Client Creation

First, imagine your ideal client. Who is she? Who is he? I focus on the way I want to feel in the session once their true self is emergent. I feel delighted and grateful that they are there, and excited about the amazing results they are getting. I have a particular openness in mind—they love this work, feel as if this is their great gift to themselves. They feel fortunate to have found me and find it easy and effortless to pay my fees. They love referring friends and family. They feel as if they have found a life-changing gift in coming to me. I have some ideas, too, about the sort of work or issues I want to work with. So—what rings true for you? What does your ideal client feel like to be around? Be very clear about this. Where do they live? Are they parents? Students? Professionals? Be clear. Write a little biographical paragraph, and end it by saying “and the universe is bringing these wonderful souls to me every (day, week, month—whatever is right for you).“ Tap it in while you are saying it.

Visualization

I know we’ve all heard this a thousand times. Visualize. Creatively. But how? And does it really work? Yes, thank heavens. I use three specific visualization exercises: out of the mists, calendar, and numbers.

I am indebted to my colleague Jade Barbee for “out of the mists” : he told me about it and I use it, and have probably adapted it a bit. I picture a soft, pleasant, foggy mist, and picture my clients walking out if it and over to me—I don’t visualize the whole trajectory. I just see them coming out of a cloudy place and into reality. I usually see them as silhouettes. Heaven only knows why. As you can imagine, I love our banner on EFTfree.net—which shows happy people all in silhouette!

My next visualization tool is the calendar tool. I use this all the time. I look at my electronic calendar, and I picture my appointments all filling up. When I was first starting, I actually put in blocks saying “client,” so that I could see them all filled up when I looked.

And then I use numbers. I have in mind a certain number of sessions I want to appear each week, so I visualize the number and say it internally to myself.

Calculating the Clientele

This flows from the numbers approach, and is really a part of the same idea. I calculated, early on, what income I wanted. I did not do a pie-in-the sky number, but one that could support me with room left over–about the level I was at in my former job. I have a desire to allow this all to build gently so that I don’t get what one colleague calls “vibrational whiplash,” from setting the goal supernaturally high. So. Solid goals, but not outlandish. Then I divided that number by twelve, for the months, by four, for the weeks, and by my fee. That leaves me with what I need in terms of sessions per week, and also builds in about four weeks of vacation. That number becomes my baseline.

In the Body

There are two critical aspects of all of this that I do while intentionally engaging my body. One is the “I’m ready” stance. This will sound really peculiar, so do bear with me. I know where I want to be in terms of numbers of sessions. I then say to the Universe, or God (I kind of veer toward God, but do what you need to) “I’m ready” while squaring up my shoulders, as if I’m stepping into a task physically. It feels very good to do this. At the moment I do this, I release the thought and let the whole thing go.

The other aspect of vibrational marketing that is very tuned into the body is my fear-sensing apparatus. My gut. When I feel a sense of fear, and for me I do feel it in my gut, and a little bit in my chest—a sense of worry and fear—I immediately know that I need to find out what is there, tap on it, and release it. I then move into a positive exercise of some sort—something quick and easy, like the calendar visualization. Or look back at the last few weeks and say how wonderful things have been and will continue to be, while tapping those thoughts and feelings in around the points. This area worth working on with a practitioner, by the way.

Old-Fashioned and Effective

Prayer. I pray all the time. I also have a prayer group that meets every week via telephone. In that group, we have a simple ritual—first we go around to each member, and we each pray for someone else. Then there are a series of short, comforting prayers we say. Then, we go around again, this time articulating prayers for ourselves. I always mention my practice and my clients-to-be.
I know that many people have been traumatized by religion and so in suggesting prayer, I don’t mean to trigger any of that. It is, however, significant to me that I pray every week in the group and on my own, and things flow. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention this step.

Let it Go

Finally, just let all of it go. After you practice these things, get up, go on a walk, let it go. All will be well and your ideal clients will come, steadily and with a sense of appreciation.

"When we begin to appreciate the small things we have, we are clearing a pathway for energy to flow... All problems can be turned into blessings if we choose to learn from them, and use EFT to shift our energy and perspective."

by Gwendolyn Evans
www.lovingself.net
Essex Junction, Vermont, USA

It’s easy to be thankful when life is going our way. When all of our needs are being met, we easily slip into gratitude mode. When the paychecks are coming, when there is satisfaction/contentment in relationships and all is moving well, it’s easy to appreciate the whole world. However, many of us know that living in this world can sometimes mean that instead of flow, we encounter the energy of ebb.

When the paychecks aren’t rolling in, but the bills are, when there is discord in our intimate relationships, when the bathroom is flooded, and the car dies; everything seems to be going wrong. One or two things happen and all of a sudden, everything in life is going badly, or so it seems. This is known as visiting “Scare City.”

What is “Scare City?” It’s a place within that we visit all too often. Scare City mode is when we’ve completely disconnected from our source of strength and abundance, our higher power or whatever we choose to call it. We literally become blind to the gifts and blessings we have in front of us and become paralyzed by the perception of overwhelming lack and despair. We get so stuck in Scare City that we can’t find solutions to our problems.

Fortunately for those times when we find ourselves stuck in Scare City, EFT can shift our energy right out of that place. EFT is the best tool for altering our mood and perceptions of the issues and circumstances. With EFT we can make that conscious energetic shift in our attitude and our energy. Energy follows intention. When we get stuck, it seems as though we can’t get out, because we become so focused on the problem that we can’t see the solutions. Our intention or that which we are focused on by default becomes the worry, angst, and fear. All of the available abundance energy is being blocked — while all of our energetic focus is going to the problems.

The universe is an abundant place. The Law of Attraction says that we are attracting what we focus on at any given time. When visiting Scare City, we focus on the lack and attract more of that energy to us. EFT can help us align ourselves in the highest and best way to attract better energy, gain accurate perceptions and discover solutions to problems.

Combining EFT with the practice of gratitude is an effective way of changing our relationship to the problems. Gratitude is something we can both feel and practice. When we are stuck in Scare City, it is both the best time and hardest time to employ the practice of gratitude.

This might sound nauseatingly cheery, or Pollyanna-ish, if you are hanging out in scarcity. However the best thing to do when stuck in Scare City, is to take a step towards the exit. EFT will facilitate that first step. Take a moment to try some tapping.

The following steps and suggested set-up phrases will help balance your energy and prepare you for realignment to receive positive energy. Often it takes small steps, like tapping on acceptance of present circumstances, before you can move into the bigger issues.

1. Tapping on accepting the current circumstances will allow you to come back to your center.

So even though I can’t seem to find one darn thing to be grateful for, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Even though things look really bleak in my life, I am deeply and profoundly accepting and grateful for my life.

2. As you accept the situation you find yourself in, you also need to forgive yourself for any judgments, negativities, blame or shame you may be holding.

Even though I’m broke and the bills are piling up; I forgive and accept myself for any and all shame and blame I might be holding.

Even though I feel that everything is going wrong in my life, I forgive myself for any part I might play in these perceived failures.

3. As we know, tapping on the specifics of each issue will reveal more layers and blockages.

When there are multiple layers to an issue, of course there will be blockages to solutions. The key is persistence. Once a certain level of acceptance and forgiveness has been achieved, we can move into more specifics that address the problems.

Even though I can’t see a solution to this problem, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Even though there don’t seem to be any, I am open to solutions to my problems, and I remain deeply accepting and completely open.

4. The final step is the shift into gratitude through tapping.

Once acceptance and forgiveness have released the initial blockages, we can then begin to look at small things to be grateful for.

Even though I can’t think of one damn thing to be grateful for, I am grateful for my morning cup of tea/coffee.

Even though things are seeming hopeless, I am grateful for my pet’s affection.

When we begin to appreciate the small things we have, we are clearing a pathway for energy to flow. When we can release the lack, we open the door for solutions to problems and the energy of abundance. All problems can be turned into blessings if we choose to learn from them, and use EFT to shift our energy and perspective.

This article is available in Spanish. Go to the Spanish translation.

When people come to work with us on abundance issues in our Emotional Freedom Techniques practices we introduce them to a powerful way of thinking that we’ve called the Incremental Approach.

In our exploration of the Law of Attraction combined with tapping, we have sought to help ourselves and our clients create success in many areas of our lives, i.e. money, career progression, relationships, and health. Time and again we have come back to how for most people abundance is not found at the end of a leprechaun’s rainbow in one skip. Instead it grows cumulatively, rather in the way we as individuals progress through life step by step. In this way, there is no limit to our success, we just keep climbing new ladders of possibility without the risk of falling to the ground.

In this article we’d like to explain:

Why would anyone want to bother with this?
What do we mean by the Incremental Approach?
How do we effectively measure our incremental growth in using the Law of Attraction?
What are the pitfalls that come up when using EFT in this way?
What are the benefits of this approach?

Why would anyone want to bother with this?

Around the world, there is a growing interest in manifesting abundance. Many people have heard about the Law of Attraction. Some are able to learn a few attraction principles in a short amount of time and see big changes in their money reality. In our experience, this is a small minority of people.

Instead, most people who learn about the Law of Attraction find that the idea intuitively makes sense. Yet when it comes to increasing their income, most people do not see the kind of changes that they are wanting. Why?

There are two main reasons for this. First, many people do not understand what limiting beliefs are or know how to clear them. Many readers of this article know about “core issues” and “tail enders” (the hidden, “yeah but” part of an affirmation statement). And, we have a marvelous tool to clear them—EFT.

The second block to progress is that many people try to make changes in steps that are too large. For instance, Paul had a client who was making about $30,000 per year who set the goal of becoming a billionaire within 12 months. She wasn’t making any progress. In fact, her income was actually going down. It was too big a leap and therefore too much stress for her system. In the sessions, we identified more incremental steps ($45,000 per year was the first goal) and she is seeing much better progress.

What do we mean by the Incremental Approach?

Let’s be clear as to what we mean. The Incremental Approach isn’t a new technique or method within EFT. Instead it’s an attitude towards success that is likely to help many newcomers to EFT. Sometimes people are drawn to explore EFT because of the wealth of one-session wonders they first hear of. We’ve come across some of these people in our wanderings with EFT and we hear how they got disenchanted when they didn’t experience their own white unicorn tapping resolution. On forums and in our therapy practices they ask the same question: where are we going wrong?

We too have experienced awe-filled quick clearings individually and with our clients. However, ask any experienced EFTer and they will confirm that in practice these are limited occurrences. After all, human beings are complicated creatures! We build up problems over several years if not a lifetime. In our experience, the “flash in the pan” success that some see with EFT is a wonderful starting point. However, huge sustained success for most EFTers is best fostered by taking a step-by-step approach.

The Incremental Approach is the most convincing way we have found to help our clients achieve significant practical success with the Law of Attraction and EFT, whilst minimizing distress and upheaval.

How do we measure our progress?

The first step is to clarify what the current situation is. Often, there are negative feelings about this. In fact, feelings like worry, shame, and overwhelm are common. These are often some of the first things to tap on.
Then look for goals that feel exciting and achievable. Some recent examples are:

Increase my monthly income by 33% in the next 6 months.
Increase the number of prospects in my business by 100%.
Increase the number of clients paying my full fee by 50%.

Notice that these goals are specific and measurable, and so we’re already clear on the direction we’re going. Once we have a goal, we use EFT to clear negative feelings and limiting beliefs that are blocking progress. And, we use positive tapping techniques to reinforce new patterns that are aligned with the goal.

Jennifer had tried EFT, the Law of Attraction and many other energy tools to improve her real estate business—with no success. When she contacted Paul, they found that she had 1) never been specific about what she was trying to accomplish and 2) never found the core issues that were keeping her stuck. Jennifer identified increasing prospects as her initial goal. She also found that she had internalized many limiting beliefs about women and money from her father. Over several months, Jennifer and Paul cleared these limiting beliefs and aligned Jennifer’s energy with having a more successful business. The first month, her prospects increased 33%, the second month they were up 100% and by the third month Jennifer’s prospects were up over 150%. She then closed the biggest sale of her career – over 3 times bigger than her previous largest sale.

What are the pitfalls that come up when using EFT in this way?

So this step-by-step approach we’ve spoken of seems pretty simple, doesn’t it? In theory it should be. What we have seen in working with individuals who are willing to go down this road of sustained abundance is that there are some pitfalls that require careful handling. We list these pitfalls here. Be aware of what specific events from the past come to mind whilst reading through. You may uncover key incidents from the past to clear and so start getting results in boosting your prosperity levels.

The need for honesty

When people first start this work they normally feel at their lowest ebb. They have tried many ways to resolve their situation but problems like self-sabotage and years of negative thinking mean they feel their problems are insurmountable. It might feel contrary to conventional wisdom to “say it as it is” However, being honest allows you to start clearing the worst of the emotional debris that’s holding you back from feeling better. As we know, with the Law of Attraction it is our feelings that generate what we attract into our lives. After clearing the worst of these negative emotions and events related to abundance, you’re likely to start seeing an improvement.

Sejual worked with “Daniel” who had read countless books on the Law of Attraction. He wondered what he was missing as his results didn’t tally up with how the Law of Attraction was meant to work. He had tried various techniques all aimed at commanding his mind to stay on a positive track. He would achieve some success, but in the end the self-sabotage would trip him up. In a game of snakes (chutes) and ladders he would end up back at square one.

We looked at the negative thoughts and feelings he had been suppressing for more than a decade. Over several sessions we EFTed how he felt about his divorce and a former business partner cheating him. He then started to experience a permanent change in his finances for the better. From these two biggies, Daniel was able to tap on lesser events from his life both with Sejual and by himself to then focus on bringing in an income that would secure his retirement.

Vibrational whiplash

Have you ever been to a weekend workshop where you felt great while you were there but the feeling didn’t last? We have noticed something similar that many people experience when first approaching abundance work.

Fred tried EFT after years of struggling in his bodywork practice. In two sessions, he cleared many limiting beliefs about money learned from his highly religious family. Trying to run a business with these beliefs was like trying to swim with a lead-flotation device. Within a short time, Fred saw a job he was excited about and applied for. He got the job. In fact, he so impressed his interviewers that they hired him for thousands of dollars more than the job had been advertised for. After the first week at the new job, Fred’s energy started to waffle. One day he would show up confident and enthusiastic, the next he felt worried and like an impostor. Soon his new employer let him go.

We developed the term “vibrational whiplash” to describe this phenomenon of feeling a new possibility without being able to consistently live it.

A whiplash is a neck sprain that occurs when your head is suddenly jolted backwards and forwards in a whip-like movement. They are common in car accidents. Trying to jump from a negative state of mind to an extremely positive one is a common mistake in abundance work. It gives a whiplash-like jolt to the emotional self. Going through this cycle again and again is demoralizing. It often leaves people confused, hurting and wondering if the whole idea of using EFT and the Law of Attraction for increasing abundance is just a gimmick. The reason for this shock is that the change in emotion is too drastic to be sustained by your emotional self. How can a person easily go from feeling disempowered to positive eagerness and authentically maintain that? Most people can’t. The contrast is too strong to be easily adjusted to.

An important goal of the Incremental Approach is to avoid this unnecessary pain.

Having a diffused focus

When an outcome really matters to us we get caught up in the story. This is the story of how we have suffered, why we’ve carried this pain, and how we’ve been cheated by possibilities that were out of our hands. When we start tapping on the negative story we can weave in and out of issues without fully clearing anything and that lack of focus means we don’t raise our vibrational level to attract something better. The solution is to work on the specifics to make sure you’re clearing at a deep enough level to stop your focus being too vague.

“Denise” couldn’t leave behind the distress her past brought up and found her emotional chaos was affecting her career progression. She belonged to a social scene of young executives where cocaine use at weekends was the norm. For her, quitting her addiction didn’t require any tapping. However, maintaining her composure was difficult and the hurt she had buried for years came up at work in the shape of panic attacks and crying fits. With the emotional overwhelm coming up Denise couldn’t focus on sorting herself out.

Sejual worked with Denise over 4 sessions to clear specific upsets from her past connected with her relationship with her father and bad treatment from a ex-boyfriend. By identifying the key incidents that were crippling her confidence Denise was able to change the story that was running her life. She was able to deliver great performances in job interviews. Despite problems in her field, with lay offs as a result of the global recession, she secured not one but two offers of work that helped her move up the career ladder.

Getting too caught up in the “formula/process”

When learning to use EFT for abundance, people often get very focused on the wording. In fact, one of the top three most common questions people ask is “What words do I use?”

A big part of the incremental approach is getting the feel of steadily increasing your ability to succeed. The words we use in the EFT sequence are tools to allow us to relax, become more centered and begin to take inspired actions that will increase our success. From this place, the “right” words are different for each person. If you are finding yourself able to better see your situation in a neutral light and can begin to see opportunities for investing your energy in new ways, what you are doing is working.

“Isn’t there a magic wand you can show me?”

From time to time, both Sejual and Paul get contacted from someone who wants to change their financial situation immediately and wonders what the magic bullet option is. In our experience, it doesn’t work this way. Changing your money-reality takes time.

How long does it take? There are four contributing factors to how long it can take:

The amount of negative energy about money and success one has

If we have held limiting beliefs about money for a long time and they are deeply held, it often takes longer for things to change. The approach is the same, it just takes a bit of patience.

The amount of skill the person applying EFT to the situation has

Mechanical EFT does not seem to work well for most people when it comes to abundance issues. In order to achieve success with using EFT for abundance, it’s important to invest some time in learning EFT skills like finding the core issues, understanding how aspects work and learning how to incorporate your intuition into EFT work.

The amount of light-heartedness the person applying EFT can bring

One of the most consistent blocks to abundance are low vibration feelings like worry, despair and fear. If the person applying EFT for abundance has these low vibrations in her or his system, the process doesn’t seem to go well. One of the things we find helps with this is to bring a light heart and a sense of humor to our abundance work. It’s quite remarkable how far a smile can go.

The consistency with which EFT is applied

It’s very tempting to approach EFT for abundance likes it’s a magic wand. While it would be nice if it worked like that, this is not most people’s experience. Instead, we encourage people to keep tapping. In addition to tapping on the limiting beliefs, we also like to have clients use positive forms of tapping to reinforce new patterns of thinking about money and abundance. For example, this can involve positive images of abundance that add to that state of mind. Relaxed, daily tapping 1-3 times a day works best for most people.

What are the benefits of this approach?

There are several benefits to this approach. The first benefit is that it is effective for many people. While we may not always know the how, it’s easier for most people to believe at a deep level that it’s possible to increase their income in a steady manner. Because they can believe it’s possible, they commit to the Incremental Approach and apply EFT in a consistent way.

Second, there is a relief in finding out there is nothing wrong with you if have not had instant success with other abundance programs. Many clients contact us feeling shame and despair after unsuccessfully trying affirmations, vision boards, and other manifesting tools. This approach clears these negative feelings by allowing the understanding that it takes some time to change persistent beliefs and feelings.

Third, it’s fun and healing. Sejual and Paul are believers in having fun throughout the process and successful abundance journeys usually include humor. And, because money comes to us through our relationships with other people, we find that abundance is about more than money. The Incremental Approach to Abundance almost always includes learnings about service, love, and connections with other people.
